Twilight Fan Fic- Rated M- EPOV, Some Lemons, All Human, Definite OOC
This was a very interesting story for me. Jandco put a real life disorder, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, into a great story. If you don't know what that means (I had no clue) she has details about it in the Prologue.
After an accident, Bella develops IED, but she or her doctor boyfriend, Edward have no idea. She just suddenly begins having violent episodes, ones in which Edward gets pretty beat up. They both keep it a secret from all of their friends, until Bella attacks Emmett.
Edward does everything from breaking the law to causing other people to jeopardize their jobs to save Bella. When surgery is recommended, Bella insists that she go through with it. But will Edward let her?
This story is complete and the whole gang is involved except for Esme.

I bought her face to mine and kissed her lips, trying to shake the feeling that something wasn’t quite right.
“You alright?” I asked, using a thumb to wipe away a stray tear from her cheek.
“Yeah,” she nodded. “Do, uh, do you think that maybe…maybe we don’t have to mention it to anyone? I mean, I’m kind of embarrassed and ashamed of mys—“
“Of course,” I said, grinning at her in what I hoped was a reassuring way…though her request surprised me for several reasons.

The Vampire in the Basement

If Wide Awake if my favorite Fan Fic, then this one is my second favorite. It's freakin ridiculously wonderful. I will admit, the first chapter almost made me stop reading it, because of the constant POV switches, but I kept reading. The POV switches work for this story and become less and less frequent.
All of the Cullens are vampires, and Alice's best friend, Bella, is a human. Bella is saved by the Cullens and learns their secret. While Jasper, Emmett and Carlisle are out hunting, they discover a dead body. But not dead in the sense you are thinking, dead as in immortal.
The starved and abused vampire is at first mute, frantic, nervous, and seemingly violent. He has a terrible past and doesn't even know that he's a vampire. He will only let one person near him, he will only open up to one person. The human friend that has been granted access into the world of immortals.
What happens when the Volturi learn of his existence? Who starved and beat him? Who is he and where did he come from?
This story is unfinished, but let me just say that michellephants is doing a wonderful job so far. I cannot wait to read the rest.

Part of me realized I should be afraid to approach him. He was terrified and he was lethal, and I assumed that that combination was the reason the others had forbid me to come to this house at all. But there he sat, pushed as far into the corner as he could manage, his back to me. His knees were pulled so tightly to his chest that I think he would actually be incapable of breathing even if he had to. My heart lurched.
I could see every curve of his ribs as they curled around his sides. I could make out every single distinct disc of his spine. It was obvious that he was starved. His frame trembled slightly at the sound of my footsteps, slowly descending down the staircase. I couldn’t make my feet stop if I wanted to, and I didn’t want to. I didn’t doubt that, as weak as this vampire was, he could snap me in half before I could blink.

Bella isn't happy in her marriage with Edward. He is trying to become Chief Surgeon and spends all of his time at the hospital. His mother and father, Esme and Carlisle, insisted that he and his brother, Emmett, become successful. In true Momma's Boy fashion, Edward does everything to please her.
When Bella decides that she has had enough and wants a divorce, Edward makes some life changing decisions while Bella explores the world. Bella keeps a blog that is actually 'real' of her adventures, while Edward pretty much stalks it.
This story is unfinished, but so far its great! The rest of the gang is in this one, too.

A wasted Saturday afternoon turned into a wasted Saturday night, and I still hadn't heard from Edward. I made myself a small salad for dinner and picked at it as I flipped through countless TV channels, not finding a single thing to watch. I thought about calling Rosalie to see if she had plans, but I would be seeing them tomorrow for dinner, the same with Alice, and besides, I figured they were enjoying a Saturday night with their husbands. I felt the bitterness creep back into my heart. I honestly didn't remember the last Saturday night that Edward and I had just enjoyed each others' company. Whenever we went out now it was always to some Union League event or something to do with the hospital.

So far, this is my absolute favorite fan fic. Angstgoddess003 is pure genius! I'm not sure why she just didn't create her own characters and get this story published. I would definitely buy it! Although, I'm still waiting for Chapter 50, as are many, many other fans.
Anyway, Edward and Bella both refuse sleep because of the nightmares that recreate their troubling pasts. Edward is very dark and swears a lot, while Bella is very detached and doesn't allow hardly anyone to touch her. At all. She bakes yummy cookies and he sketches beautiful pictures as a form of therapy and as a way to stay awake.
When Bella moves in with her Aunt Esme and cousin Alice, she finally meets Edward who lives next door with his adoptive father Carlisle and adoptive brother Emmett. Edward and Bella find it easier to stay awake with each other's company and soon begin to spend every night together. Edward insists that they keep their relationship a secret, even as they become closer.
But what happens when fighting sleep becomes impossible? Is each other's company enough to fight the insanity? Do they overcome their fears?
I'm sure my recommendation doesn't do this story justice, but just take my word for it and read it. You may want to start on a weekend, because it's very addicting. Oh and don't fret, Rosalie and Jasper are in the story, too :)

Bella sighed deeply beside me. “You want to know why he can touch me?” She hedged in her awfully raspy voice that made me just fucking rub her hand with my thumb firmer. That shit sounded painful. Esme nodded, finally breaking her gaze from our hands to meet Bella’s tired stare. My girl squeezed my hand back, so I shifted my head in my palm to look at her. She straightened up in her chair, lifting her chin up and rounding her shoulders back. All grown up. I thought smugly, fucking loving when she did that shit. She looked right into Esme’s eyes as I gazed at her confident posture from my palm. “He’s different.” She rasped, squeezing my hand and turning her face to gaze back into my eyes. And she looked so fucking proud of that fact as she gazed at me lovingly, not giving a shit that she had to tell them. And I just fucking smiled back at her, because I loved that I was different too.

Also, Angstgoddess003 started a new story called Of Gemini and Gypsies and although it's only a couple chapters long, it's already worth reading.
