Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I can't believe it's almost 2010! We've had so many great things happen in 2009, including New Moon! But 2010 has Eclipse waiting for us and I cannot wait!




Anyways... I am currently in the middle of a fanfic and it may take me a while to read because I've been so busy. So until then, here are some book recommendations. Enjoy!

• As embarrassed as I am to say, I've just recently read the Sookie Stackhouse series. (Well the first 5 books anyways!) I know like everybody has read it, but I'm going to throw it out there just in case! As most of you know HBO's Tru Blood is based on this series by Charlaine Harris. It is an 11 book series and so far, it's fantastic. I'm usually reading three or four books/stories at a time, but Sookie seems to be taking all of my attention. There are 10 books in the series, although I believe a new one is set to release in May. You can find the list here.

Summary: "Sookie Stackhouse is a cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana, but she keeps to herself and doesn’t date much because of her “disability” to read minds. When she meets Bill, Sookie can’t hear a word he’s thinking. He’s the type of guy she’s waited for all of her life, but he has a disability, too–he’s a vampire with a bad reputation. When one of Sookie’s coworkers is killed, she fears she’s next."

• I'm only on the third book in this next series, but it's great so far. It's more adult than the other books I've recommended and is somewhat anti-vampire! It's the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton. She is a #1 New York Times Bestselling Author for good reason! I love the way she writes. There are 18...yes 18 books in this series. You can find the book list here.

Summary: "The series takes place in a parallel fantasy world where vampires, shape shifters, werewolves, faeries, etc. exist. Her night job, and primary source of income, is the legal profession of re-animating the dead. Today's post is brought to you by the word SMUT! This story is jammed packed full of lemons and Jacob Black. It doesn't get much better than that! :) This story can be found on Lemon Juicy and you do have to register, but it's completely worth it. I was sucked right in!

This story takes place during the battle with Victoria and her newborn Army. Jacob crawls into the tent to keep Bella from freezing to death, but then Bella asks Edward to leave. Bella has been having sexual thoughts about Jacob for a while and has convinced herself its because Edward can't physically give her what she needs. But that night in the tent changes everything.

Bella begins to realize that her feelings for Jacob are far deeper than just physical attraction and she finally gives in. She lets go of Edward and gives Jacob her whole heart...and body! Jacob is still a werewolf though and Bella fears that he is going to end up imprinting on someone and leaving her behind. Will her insecurities drive Jacob crazy? Plus, they have all the troubles that come with being supernatural.

The Cullen's still welcome Bella and Jacob into their home and eventually have to recruit their help in saving Edward. Edward is in a lot of trouble and it's up to Bella to save him for once. But, Edward is damaged, severely. How will Jacob handle the fact that Bella nurtures Edward back to health?

I can't even put into words how good this story is. That's why I'm not a writer...I just read. It is full of lemons but it also has an excellent story. And a HUGE cliff hanger ending. But have no fear, there is a sequel!! I'm off to read that now :)

This one apparently started off as a one shot, but after lots of reviews hmonster4 and Profmom72 decided to keep going with it. In the beginning, it's a little fast, but as the one shot ends, they expand the time and it turns out to be a really great read. Hmonster4 writes Bella's point of view and Profmom72 writes Edward's.

Edward Cullen is rich and famous. His family has always been well known, but Edward took it a little too far. After a fight with his dad, Edward moved to LA and became rebellious and he didn't care who he hurt. The pressed pegged him as a playboy and his father pegged him as a disappointment.

When Edward finally returns to New York after years of being away, he has much more to mend than he realized. All of his relationships were strained and he was ready to change. The only problem was getting everyone else to see the new him.

Bella is a book publisher and has had it with dating. One day she resolves to just stop looking for Mr. Wonderful. Little did she know, he had already found her, but was to afraid to make a move.

Bella visits Tiffany's window display everyone morning on her way to work. On the day she decided to stop looking for someone, she changed her routine. She stopped at the coffee shop instead and that's where she met Edward, although she has no idea of his fame because he had been out of the spot light for so long.

The press create a lot of issues for the two of them and Bella hates being the center of attention. How will it effect her view of Edward? What happens when she finds out about his past rebellions? What happens when Edward's not so nice family learns about Bella through the tabloids?

I'll be the first to say it...this review sucks. I just couldn't get out all I wanted to say. This story is really really good and has tons of twists and turns. Once you think you've got it figured out, something else changes completely. You'll love it, I promise :)

A little piece of the story:

“True love is like a package of strawberry pop tarts.” I started. Alice snorted. “Very lady like, Alice Brandon. Just hear me out.”

I started pacing up and down in front of Tiffany’s as I spoke. “When you first get a pack of pop tarts, you are all excited to open the shiny package. Once it’s open, you find two perfectly matched pastries with simple pink frosting and gorgeous colorful sprinkles.”

“Okay, perfect match who is gorgeous and doesn’t dress too flashy. Maybe you should’ve had another Cosmo, Bella.”

I was on a roll. “But there is more to it than looks, for inside lurks those amazing strawberry preserves that remind you of everything good and simple and wonderful in life. Kind of like these windows” I pointed to the Tiffany display

“Perfect match, gorgeous, simple, and good in bed. You want to date a supermodel!”

I stuck my tongue out at her. “But you do have to realize that pop tarts are totally processed and have a shelf life of forever, that way you don’t ever have to worry about them going bad.”

Resident Geek

Well I'll start off by saying that this picture doesn't go with this story at all, but I just absolutely adore Rob's smile in this one and I couldn't find one that does with Resident Geek.

Ok, anyways. This story is freaking adorable and I absolutely fell in love with it. Bella and Edward role's completely reverse where Edward is the inexperienced, shy, geeky virgin. Bella is popular and confident and in charge. It also reminds me a bit of Just One of The Guys with all the WoW and D&D references. I'm not even a geek, have never played either games nor have I ever watched Star Wars (don't hurt me) and I find myself loving the geeky stories.

When Edward lays eyes on Bella for the first time, he is instantly in love, but realizes that someone like Bella would never go for someone like him. Little does he know, he is just what Bella has been looking for. Even from their different backgrounds and different lifestyles they find themselves lost in each other. But Edward being the low self-esteemed shy guy finds himself questioning Bella's motives.

Bella has to not only convince Edward that she is real and true, but she has to convince herself that not all guys are jerks like the ones in her past. What happens when Edward finds out about Bella's ex, James? How will Edward handle all the attention she gets from other men? (You'll be surprised!)

“Would you pretend to be my boyfriend for the next five minutes?”

I had planned on continuing with an explanation, but my brain stopped functioning and I ended up gasping slightly as I felt his hand rest upon my hip. The warmth was delicious. And that was with a layer of clothes on.
Imagine what it would be like without them, said a stray thought, and involuntarily, my breathing picked up in response to the images that were now running through my head.
“What do you need me to do?” I heard him say, his breath brushing against my cheek. His velvety voice turned my insides to goo before relief washed through me at his words. He was going to go along with my plan.
Thank God for small miracles.
“Kiss me,” I breathed before pulling back and looking straight into his eyes. Edward’s eyes were already gorgeous behind those lenses and I had a feeling if he removed his glasses, the total effect would leave me incoherent.
He appeared momentarily stunned and I lost hope for a second that I had gone too far, but then ever so slowly, he leaned in closer until his lips brushed lightly against mine.
In that second I felt a streak of electricity travel from my mouth down to my toes, curling them inside my shoes. After that, I was lost.

Coming To Terms

Whew! It's been a while! I haven't actually had the chance to read much, so when I finally found time, my first pick was this story and I was thankfully not disappointed. It is unlike any of the other fan fics out there and I appreciated that.

Bella is a VP for Newton Corporation as is in Seatlle for business when she runs into Edward. Uncharacteristically for the both of them, they end up going to Bella's hotel room for a night of fun. When Bella wakes up alone, she determines that she is meant to be alone and at 28 years old, she is okay with that. She is independent and can take care of herself.

Because of the huge account Bella landed the company, Newton Corporation decides to open up a branch in Seatlle. Shortly after Bella moves there, she begins feeling extremely sick. Since thinking that it was stress, she put off going to the doctor until her assistant, Angela, insists and makes her an appointment with Dr. Carlisle Cullen.

Dr. Cullen informs Bella that she is pregnant and Bella is completely floored with the news, almost having forgotten about her one night stand. Dr. Cullen influences Bella to contact the father but Bella doesn't even know Edward's last name.

Bella's journey from then on out makes for an addicting story. When she finally finds Edward and realizing that her very doctor is his father, she and the entire family are shocked. But most suprisingly is Edward's reaction. He doesn't believe that Bella is telling the truth and thinks she is just after his money. Months go by, while Edward's family is helping Bella as much as she would allow, until Edward finally starts coming around. By that time though, Bella is has serious issues trusting anything he says. It's a very slow process for them to get a long enough to decide what to do after the baby is born. What will they come up with? Will they be able to put aside their differences for the baby's sake?

This would usually be the part where I give you a piece of the story, but I scanned through it and I'm so afraid of giving away anything, that I've decided to skip it this time. I want you to learn things at the same time Bella does. So enjoy!

New Moon

I can't believe it's almost here!!! No one has any idea how excited I am for Friday's midnight release! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. I bought my ticket the day it went on sale here, and I've been carrying it in my wallet since. It's just sitting in there, tormenting me. But the day is almost here!!

I wanted to recommend a little something different this morning. I visit NewMoonMovie.Org just about every morning to catch up on the latest New Moon news. This site is absolutely fantastic and has tons of New Moon trailers and cast interviews and what not. Not to mention, its won a few awards for best fan site and blog. You gotta check it out. Also, you can access the Eclipse site from there and see all the news for the next chapter in the Twilight Saga, which is said to be released in June! We don't have to wait as long! Yay!

The Red Line

This is unlike any other fan fic that I've read. It's a great story about Edward and Bella from a completely different world than I would have ever imagined.

Bella is in school studying to be a psychiatrist and she needs to find an interesting subject to do a paper on. For some reason, she chooses to go to a strip club called Fire to find her subject. When she sees Edward in a cage dressed as a Vampire, she immediately decides that that's who she wants to study. She runs the idea by him and she is so entranced with him that she agrees to pay $20,000 to own him for two weeks.

Edward is a whore. Something very bad happened to Edward and he is stuck being a slave, a prostitute, a piece of meat. He agrees to do Bella's study. They come to an arrangement that she gets to have her therapy sessions if he gets to have his sexual sessions. Bella is pretty much a virgin and Edward wants to teach her all he knows.

Bella finds that Edward has a very hard time acting normal. He is constantly in character as the male whore and she doesn't want that. She's very gentle with him, which he is not use to, and they end up growing feelings for each other. But can Edward leave his lifestyle? He is owned by Victoria who paid his debt and she has threatened Bella once before. Will Bella let him go? Can she help him? What does Bella find out about the reasons Edward is the way he is? Can Edward actually change?

Rosalie, Alice, Emmett and Jasper are in this one, too but not very much. Emmett is Edward's best friend and helps him out tremendously. Rosalie and Alice pull together to help Bella try to figure out a way to get Edward away from Victoria. Great story, folks. Happy Reading!

“Bella?” I asked, not hungry anymore, “I want you to promise me just one thing, okay? Don’t get mad.” “Sure.” She smiled back at me, pleasantly.
“Please don’t fall in love with me.” I tried not to plead as I looked into those amazing eyes of hers, “Promise me that, please.”
She looked at me with this strange look that I couldn’t read.
She huffed, “I’m not in love with you, Edward. I just wanted you to know what I think of you. All that I said is true. I told you I’m your friend. ”
I breathed a sigh of relief and grinned, “Good. I mean, I thank you for all those things you said. I appreciate all of that. But it wouldn’t be good for you…to start to have…those feelings for me. Don’t misunderstand. I meant all the things I said to you, too. I do want you and I can’t wait to experience all the things you want. And I do love belonging to you, like I said.”
“I know, Edward.” She smiled, looking fine, “I love having you.”

Another excellent recommendation by my loyal reader Crystal. I absolutely loved it. Everyone at work kept bothering me and actually making me work, and I was getting furious because I just had to find out what happened next! This story is brought to you by the same fantastic author of Boycotts and Barflies.

Bella moved to San Fransisco after her father passed away and found herself at a dead end. She lived by herself in her apartment and became fast friends with her neighbor, Rosalie. Rosalie finally convinces Bella to chance her dreams and do something she wants to do, rather than continue working at the record store.

When Bella applies for an assistant job at Masen Advertising, she never dreamed she'd actually get it. Once there, she quickly gets promoted and finds herself working directly for Edward Cullen. The boy she'd had a crush on in school. Devastating to Bella, Edward doesn't remember her, and seems to have forgotten himself. He is very angry and miserable all of the time. That is...until he starts opening up to Bella.

Bella comes up with some excellent ideas and even gets Edward a meeting with a big name in fashion, Jacob Black. All Bella has to do is get rid of Edward's obnoxious super model girlfriend, Jane. But Jane is relentless and Edward seems to have a hard time letting go of her.

What happens when Edward finds out that someone is betraying Masen Advertising? All the clues lead to a certain person, but will he pick it up? How will Bella convince him that she's on his side?

And of course, Bella gets by with a little help from her friends. Pretty much the whole Twilight gang is in this one. Even some of the wolf pack...which makes me happy! Ooo, Nessie is in it too! Whoo Hoo. Happy reading!

The Best Man

This one is dedicated to Crystal (movieandbookgirl). Although, she didn't tell me a VERY IMPORTANT, VERY UNEXPECTED, turn in the story, she did recommend it and I am forever thankful :) It was a truly wonderful story and I couldn't get enough. I laughed, cried and awed.

Bella is visiting her home in Fork's as requested by her best friend Jasper. Bella and Jasper met when they were five years old when Bella moved in with Charlie after her mother remarried. Bella had gone away to college and when Jasper requested her presence, she hopped on a plane and went back to her childhood friend.

Once she arrives home, Jasper informs her that he is marrying his girlfriend Alice and then tells both she and his brother Edward that he cannot decide who to make his Best Man, so they are going to have a competition. They each plan a couple of activities while Jasper's friends, Tyler, Erik and Mike judge fairly.

Edward was older than Bella and Jasper and often saw Bella as just the girl next door. When they find their way back to Forks after years of not seeing each other, Bella's childhood crush sees her in a new light. But they must battle it out to win the role of Best Man.

Both Edward and Bella play dirty in their fight for the title, and she begins to get frustrated with him more often than not. Edwards competitive nature causes him to score some low blows. All the while, they are trying to fight their feelings for one another.

Eventually though, something has to give. Someone has to let up. Who will it be? What causes the sudden change in their relationship? Will Edward be able to look past trying to be a big brother to Bella? I totally wish I could tell you more...but I'm so afraid of giving something away. Like I said, there is a completely unexpected twist in this story...it alone is worth reading the story for. Good job Bratty-Vamp and thanks Crystal for the recommendation.

“I still don’t see why you have to go to prom,” Jasper wrinkled his nose. “Who wants to do all that stupid dancing anyway?”

“My girlfriend does,” Edward said quietly. He moved to sit in the window then, watching for his ride. I shifted to find more comfort in my place on the floor, letting my pencil glide on the paper to shade his cheekbones and his chin.

“Dancing is for sissies,” Jasper continued to rib Edward from his place on the piano bench.

“Nonsense,” Joy interjected. “Edward is a lovely dancer. Girls appreciate a man who can dance well.”

“Well, I’m never going to prom,” Jasper shook his head but continued playing quiet music.

“Me neither,” I finally joined the conversation.

“Isabella!” Joy ignored her younger son and spoke to me. “Girls should look forward to their proms! We get to dress up like princesses and be danced around the room…” Her words faded away as she moved toward the kitchen to check on dinner. I shrugged.

“I don’t know how to dance anyway,” I spoke towards the floor. My pencil scratched across the surface of my sketch pad a few more minutes before a shiny pair of black shoes came into my line of sight. I looked up to see Edward smiling above me.

“Bella?” he looked down. “Dance with me.”

“What?” I croaked out. My pencil dropped to the floor and my cheeks turned pink. Edward laughed lightly.
“It’s easy. Come on. I’ll show you.”

He reached his long, soft fingers down toward me, and I tentatively placed my hand in his. Once I was standing in front of him, Edward pursed his lips with a look of concentration. “Here. Maybe it will be easier, if you stand on my feet.”

Like a dream, I moved closer to Edward. He smiled encouragingly, and wrapped his hand around my own. He pulled my other hand to rest on his shoulder before he pressed his fingers into my hip. I stepped up onto his toes, and then… we were dancing.

Jasper played quietly while I stared straight ahead at Edward’s white shirt. He moved us gently, from side to side, and I concentrated on staying on top of his feet so that I wouldn’t trip us both.

“Not so bad, is it?” Edward’s breath tickled the top of my head. I closed my eyes and smiled. It was perfect.

The blaring of a horn outside caused Edward’s steps to falter. He released me with a quick smile and put my feet back on the ground before moving to pick up the corsage he had left by the window. Then, as if he had a second-thought, he opened the plastic case and pinched a little sprig of baby’s breath from the arrangement. He walked back over to me, and my heart skipped a beat when he tucked the tiny white flowers behind my ear. I closed my eyes as his hand lingered near my cheek for a moment.

“Thanks for the dance, Bella,” he said quietly. When I opened my eyes again, it was to see him shutting the door as he left.

I picked this story because of all of the reviews in which at this moment has 12,985. I'm so glad I did. It's really really good and while somewhat predictable, makes me very happy :) not to mention, hilarious. I literally LOL'd a few times while sitting here at work. Hehe.

Edward, Emmett and Jasper are all best friends who also bartend together at the same night club. They are tired of dating the wrong girls and decide to make a bet. None of them can hook up with a "Barfly" or they lose $200. So, they are on a quest to meet nice girls. Emmett is hilarious in this! He picks some places to meet nice girls, like the grocery store, library, etc. Each turns out to be a flop...for him. Edward on the other hand, can't stop thinking about the "naughty librarian."

Bella, Alice and Rosalie are all best friends and room mates. They too, are sick of dating losers and decide to have a boycott until the new year. They each put $200 in the pot and whomever obeys the rules until the last day, wins the money.

Well, Bella runs into the guys first, while they were scoping for women at the library, but pretty much blows them off because of the boycott. Then, she runs into them again at the gym. Rosalie runs into Emmett at a football game (which is a pretty funny scene) and then Alice sees a very hot bartender at the club, Jasper. Jasper can't get over Alice, but being that he saw her in a bar, she's off limits.

But what happens when Bella figures out that she knows both of the guys that Alice and Rosalie have been talking about? Edward and the guys seem to show up everywhere, and Bella finds herself questioning the bet. What happens when Edward finds loop holes in the rules to their boycott? Will they be able to break the other couples so that Bella can win?

A little piece of the story.

“Hey, Playboy, long time no see.” I laughed as the big guy from the library came and stood next to me. Playboy was the nickname Alice, Rose and I had given him after I told them the story from the library, when we had finally stopped laughing that is.

The look of confusion on his face was priceless. He was racking his brain trying to place where he knew me from...a one night stand, school, the supermarket, his apartment building...I could see him ticking things off at a rapid rate with no success.

In his defense, I had my hair up in a tight bun and I was standing on a stool most of the time when we first met rather than the ponytail and much tighter gym clothes I was currently dressed in. He looked over at the guy with the green eyes, for help, but he was still looking curiously at me, which made me blush again.
Needing a distraction, I glanced up at the tall blond who suddenly started smiling widely, he had remembered me at least.

“Do I...did we...have we met before?” The big guy finally stammered after a few hand gestures.

“Yep.” I said, dragging out his torture a bit longer.

“Where did we meet?” He asked completely puzzled.

“We met during your first time...” I said, trying not to break out into a fit of laughter when I realized how that could be taken. I meant at the library, but that gave away too much information so I cut the part off. The tall blond was leaning against the wall laughing now. I saw the guy with green eyes glance at him and then glance back at me, try to figure out the joke he was missing out on. I gave him a quick wink and a smile and that's when it clicked.

Sorrrrrrry

So, I've been kind of slow updating lately and I apologize to my readers. I've been traveling and trying to read The Vampire Diaries. And that's what prompted me to post this evening. I'm on the last book, and I'm totally on the fence about it. I tried, tried, tried not to watch the series until I finished the book, but I couldn't help myself. And the damn series is soooo different from the book and that just makes me sad.



But what I really wanted to know...what do you guys think of The Vampire Diaries? I really can't decide whether its worth reviewing, or just maybe discussing, so I'm gonna go with the latter. Email me, or drop a comment to let me know your opinion. Maybe we can get a debate going? huh? No? Yes? :)

Holy crap. I adore this story. It's Cruel Intentions meets Gossip Girl. I have previously posted a story by jandco, IED, and was super excited to see that she and withthevampsofcourse collided to create this addicting story. Jandco writes in Bella's point of view and withthevampsofcourse writes in Edward's. They worked so well together and you can tell its two separate people writing, so it works with the different POV's. I absolutely love the recreation of the Cullen's. I fell completely in love with Jasper and completely in hate with Rosalie. This story is real, and not some fluffed up chick flick. No roses, no poetry, no throwing rocks at the window.

Edward and Company are all rich kids from Forks and attend Forks Academy, where they completely own. They are the cool kids, the popular ones, the ones no one wants to mess with. They are also, very bad kids. Hehe. Edward and his friends are big into partying and pretty much messing with other people's lives. They have the resources to do whatever they want, and they take advantage.

Rosalie and Alice make Edward a bet that he cannot refuse. All he has to do to win is seduce the new girl, Bella Swan. However, Bella has a little bet of her own going.

Bella quickly falls in place with the cool crowd because of her 'I don't give a fuck' attitude. Jasper befriends her quickly and they become extremely close. Except Jasper has a thing for Alice, and Bella just has to have Edward. No matter what the stakes.

You just gotta trust me on this one and read it. Dark Edward, Dark Bella, everyone is OOC, but it's superb. Be warned though, there is a lot of adult language and somethings may be offensive to some people. Oh, and lots of lemons. Kudos to the authors...they really had me hooked on this one. Muah!

A little piece of the story:

I noticed that I wasn’t the only one appreciating Bella’s look as we all had to lean forward and adjust ourselves a bit. Bella simply stood there, taking us in; it must’ve been kind of funny seeing the three hottest guys in Forks leaning up against their vehicles, arms crossed in taunting challenge. Pick me. Pick me. Pick me.
“Can I help you boys with something?” she called out, finally having gathered her wits as she munched on her toast. She recovered fairly quickly, lithely hopping down the steps and out onto the lawn. She strode over and stopped a few feet away from the curb, making eye contact with Jasper and then Emmett before finally meeting my gaze. I half-smiled at her, trying to make my eyes sparkle. I would be pissed if she didn’t get in my damned car.
“Maybe I should ask the Chief for a ride,” she said, smiling saucily and turning around. None of us moved. She took a few steps and then swung back around, that Poker Hustler smile gracing her lips and face.
“No, wait. I like this. I like it way too much. You boys are making this too easy. I think it’s time to Roshambo.”
“Roshambo.” Emmett said it like he had never heard it. Like we had never played rock-paper-scissors for a chick before. This was a game that none of us were ever clear winners for, so I had no idea what the outcome would be. I would have to hope that luck was on my side.
Jasper pushed off of his hunk of junk with both arms and sauntered over toward Emmett, who was standing up straight with a smile. Grimacing, I hesitated. Sure, it was fun to gamble over girls. But not Bella. Something told me she wasn’t going to be amused by this display, even though she was smiling at us with a wickedly benevolent grin, like she was humoring us silly boys on this fine, sunny Forks morning.

I really wanted to put my favorite scene in as a preview but I was afraid I'd give away too much and it was way too long. But as you are reading, as soon as you see the word Lake...prepare yourself...its a brilliant scene.

Well, I asked for it! And LeeLeeXtreme most definitely delivered! Hehe. I wanted a Jacob/Bella fan fic, but none I'd read were worth recommending, until I found this one. Can we say smut? Come one, everyone say it with me. SMUT. So many Lemons in this one that you should have to show an ID to view it! It's soo good though and its definitely for Team Jacob.

This story takes place during Eclipse, right before the fight with the newborns. LeeLeeXtreme did a fantastic job at putting her own twist to it. She stuck with the time line, but didn't rewrite the book. She quickly skimmed passed Stephenie Meyer's parts and added her own, which was fantastic. The whole things focuses on Bella's relationship with Jacob and how she must choose between the Jacob and Edward. But it's definitely not the PG!

How does Edward handle it? What does Jacob do to try to win Bella over? Who does Bella choose?

I can't even give you a piece of the story. LOL. Just go read it(if you are 18!), its only 7 chapters.

WOW! I just finished reading this completed story and I must say...WOW. I was so into this story, it's not even funny. Props definitely got to Angel.

Bella is just finishing up college and is preparing to lose her internship, when her boss recommends her as a personal assistant to the CEO of a large company, Edward Cullen. Edward is completely OCD and rude, and pretty much treats Bella like crap until she finally quits.

While out with her friend Angela, Bella comes face to face with Victoria. Victoria tries to take Bella back to James, but Edward interferes. From then on, Edward dedicates himself to protecting Bella, even when Bella doesn't know it.

What happens when Bella finds out what Edward really is? Will he ever open up to her? James is building an army of newborns, can Edward and Co. stop him?

The whole gang is in this one...even a tiny bit of the wolf pack, although for Team Jacob fans, isn't entirely satisfying. The story is truly great though. I love the time Angel took with this to keep me guessing. Nothing is rushed, and it all falls together perfectly and the ending is soooooo awesome!

A little piece of the story:

Mr. Cullen was standing at the bottom of the steps and I noticed his hands were full of trash and behind him I could see a tall, lanky man carrying an arm load of what appeared to be parts of a chair. Mr. Cullen wore the normal, pained grimace on his face that I’d come to expect when he saw me.
We stood for a moment in silence while his eyes traveled down my body, taking in his t-shirt. I held my breath for a moment waiting to see what he would say. The absurdity of my behavior was dawning on me.
My boss was completely neurotic and anal retentive and I was standing in front of him in his shirt.
His shirt that I had all but destroyed.
And I was currently wearing it in an act of defiance.
The fact that he was overwhelmingly gorgeous when he was mad only made the situation worse.
Or better? I had no idea. I lost all sense of rationality when he looked at me.

Just One of The Guys

Oooh how I love this story! It actually kind of reminds me of Wide Awake, which might be why I like it so much. There is a totally different story, but something that happened in Bella's past leaves close to the same aftermath as Wide Awake.

Bella and Jasper are room mates and best friends, and if it weren't for Jasper, Bella would probably have gone insane. They've known each other forever and its Jasper who makes Bella feel safe and holds her when she needs someone, and Jasper doesn't take his job lightly. When Jasper meets Alice and falls head over heals for her, Bella befriends Alice. Bella never kept many girl friends and it surprised both Jasper and Bella that she liked Alice so much.

Alice eventually talks her into going to the movies with her, her brother and Jasper. Bella is skeptical until Alice insists that her brother doesn't date and that they didn't even have to sit by each other. But when Bella lays her eyes on Edward, she starts to rethink her non dating rule. As does Edward when he first sees Bella.

Will Edward and Bell be able to overcome their fear of hurt? How does Bella finally let her wall down enough to let Edward in? How will Edward handle finding out exactly what has Bella so fearful? Will Jasper be able to step aside and let Bella live her own life?

As always, my review does not do this story justice! Just read and it and you'll love it!

A little piece of the story:

I went into the kitchen to wait, grabbing a beer and sitting on the counter with my head hanging down. I knew better than to try to wake her or to go in too early. Past experience and a few scars from scratches had taught me that much.

I blinked back tears when I heard the whimpering start. It grew louder, and I hopped down off the counter, beer forgotten, as I heard the screaming. Steeling myself, I walked down the short hallway to her room, opening the door to see her curled into a ball on the bed, sheets tangled, hands fisted into her hair with her eyes clenched shut. The glaring light from the overhead and two lamps cast her agonized face in excruciating detail.

I approached the bed slowly, speaking in a soothing voice loud enough to be heard. “Bella, sweetheart, it’s okay…you’re okay. He’s gone, Bella…he can’t hurt you again. I’m here…” I continued to try to calm her as I lowered myself onto the bed, pulling her into my arms. Slowly, so agonizingly slowly, she began to relax, her screams subsiding to sobs and then whimpers. I stroked her hair, whispering to her when the screaming stopped.

Another Book Recommendation

Maximum Ride by James Patterson

These books are soooooo good. I could not put the first one down. I read it in a day. I haven't finished the entire series, but so far so great!!

In order the books are : The Angel Experiment, School's Out-Forever, Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, The Final Warning, Max: A Maximum Ride Novel, and Fang: A Maximum Ride Novel (which I believe is due to be released in 2010)

I'm also pretty sure, they are making this into a movie. Twilight Director, Catherine Hardwicke is rumored to be directing Maximum Ride! I really hope she does better with this one. Sorry, but I pretty much think she ruined Twilight the Movie.

That's right, Angstgoddess003 has done it again! I'm so in love with this girl, I cannot even express it into words. She's freakin' incredible! This story is just as good as Wide Awake, but it is complete! I read the whole thing in a day.

Bella is a rich girl from SoCal and after some recent negative media coverage, decides to visit her father in Forks. While driving, she accidentally rear ends a silver Volvo that is in the middle of the road. Both drivers not completely injured, decide to walk instead of waiting for someone to come by. The driver of the Volvo convinces Bella that he knows a shortcut and leads her through the woods.

After figuring out that his name is Edward, she puts two and two together and realizes that Edward was bad news. Her father, Charlie, head of law enforcement, had told her all about the criminal that Edward was.

So then, what happens when Edward gets them lost? Bella and Edward end up staying in the woods for days, eating only berries and drinking from a river. Bella doesn't think that Edward knows who she is and starts finding herself very attracted to him. Despite his reputation, and despite the situation they are in.

But Edward's bad reputation catches up with him. What will happen when Bella is betrayed by Edward? Read to find out!!

Edward’s large hand, slender fingers splayed across my stomach, clutching me to his chest as he snored softly into the hair at my nape.
We spooned in Forks.
It should be a fucking postcard slogan.
Naturally, when we’d both realized our extremely intimate position, we’d scrambled away from one another, avoiding gazes, running fingers through hair, and clearing throats drowsily. We offered timid grins and only spent a record ten-minutes calling each other names before we were officially out of the “Awkward Zone.”

Well, in all honesty, I’m still recovering from the total mind-fuck of seeing Edward in a t-shirt and boxers, so all I can do is nod dumbly. I begin wishing that Alice wasn’t his sister so that I can turn to her and gush smugly, “Did you see that? Yeah. I humped that shit.”

The Ex Factor

At first, I was unsure of this story. I mean the plot is just kinda like why-in-the-hell-would-anyone-put-themselves-in-this-situation, but its actually a really really good story. And AngelAtTwilight has a great imagination. It's full of twists and turns.

Edward, Emmett and Alice are all best friends. Edward is casually dating Tanya. Bella and Rosalie are step-sisters, Bella is dating Jasper, and Rosalie is hanging out with Jacob. Bella and Edward are bitter ex's that happened to have shared a large part of their childhood together. Which leads them to be sharing the same cabin for the same three weeks.

So Bella is under the same roof as not only her ex, but also her ex's new girlfriend. Edward is in the exact same situation, but actually finds himself liking Jasper. What happens when they all get snowed in and have no choice but to stay in the house? What happens when Alice finds herself falling for someone inappropriate? And we all know Rosalie and Emmett were made for each other...will she ditch Jacob?

A little piece of the story:

I closed my eyes and leaned forward, tucking my arms beneath her light, warm body. I lifted her up with my legs, tucking her into my chest as I stood. Her head fell onto my right shoulder, and I caught a whiff of her beautiful scent, strawberries and cinnamon, just as I remembered the last time we were this close. Again, I felt my body begin to ache as I pulled her against me, walking out of the room. Her books stayed nestled between her chest and mine, but I didn't mind. I held my breath as I trailed out the door, and up the two sets of stairs lightly.
As I passed the second story, I heard sobbing come from three doors down, followed by a, "shhhh... I've got you, come here," in a soft but hoarse just-woken-up voice. Emmett was comforting Alice... just as I knew he would. Because though that mother fucker could put on a show and pretend he doesn't care, he does. He always has. And he loved Alice like a little sister... and would probably give me a lot of hell in the morning if he finds out what I did.
I continued my tour, all the way up to the third story. She sighed, nuzzling her face into my shoulder, without recognizing it. It caused me to freeze in the hallway, unable to breathe. I looked down at her, and keeping her up with my right arm, I swept the hair out of her face with my left hand... and she was smiling at me. In her sleep.
Like she used to.
I scoffed, forcing myself to move again. She probably thinks you're Jasper or some shit.

Book Recommendations

I'm in the middle of reading another Twilight Fan Fiction, so I thought I'd bring you some book recommendations in the mean time.

These are for the Twilight lovers out there. Since Twilight cannot go on and on forever, these books satisfied my obsession...for a little while :)

House of Night Series by P.C. Cast

This is a 5 book series so far, and another on the way in October. In order, the books are Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted and Tempted.

These books are addicting and most delightful. It's a whole other world of Vampires.

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

This is a 3 book series. In order the books are City of Bones, City of Ashes and City of Glass.

These books have had great reviews and for a reason. They are completely fantastic.

Mercy Thompson Novels by Patricia Briggs

This is 4 books series. In order, the books are, Moon Called, Blood Bound, Iron Kissed and Bone Crossed.

These books are great because you get to see the werewolves' side of things. Not that Mercy is a werewolf, but she was raised by them :)

In the novels, Mercy Thompson is the daughter of a Blackfoot Indian and a white teenage mother. She is a "Walker" (a Native American shapeshifter not linked to the moon) who turns into a coyote, a gift she inherited from her father. A rodeo man, he died a few days after consummating his relationship with her mother.
One day, not too long after Mercy was born, her mother went to her crib only to find a small coyote pup in her place. Afraid and unsure how to raise her, her mother took her to the only place she knew was capable -- relatives of a great-great grandfather, who had been a werewolf. This is how she came to be raised with the pack of Bran, the Marrok of the werewolves.

This story made me blush and I'm old enough to have heard worse! Hee Hee. The-glory-days is a really good writer who goes into tremendous detail. The story is very good, and very naughty.

Bella and Edward are best friends and have both been lacking in the sex department. One evening they decide to start playing a game. All 26 letters of the alphabet are placed into a hat, and once a week, in rotation between the two of them, they choose a letter, and then choose a theme for that letter. A very sexual theme. Role playing, mostly, but not always. They have but one rule, no kissing on the mouth.

Will they be able to keep their feelings separated from their game? I know I wouldn't be able to!

A little piece of the story:

Bella spent most of Sunday thinking of different things with the letter V. She looked up different positions like the Viennese Oyster, and the Victory position. She thought of Victorian-esque role playing and naked volleyball, though that didn’t sound very fun in the cold March weather, but the word vampire kept resurfacing, and she knew that Edward would figure it out Friday night when he asked what the letter was. It would be an instantaneous reaction for him just as it was for her. She would present the letter, he would do that weird squinting thing he did when he was thinking, and then once he figured it out he would smile that fucking crooked smile that made panties drop, and he would groan in annoyance, just for the hell of it.

Because Edward Bites

So, I am most definitely Team Jacob. Not because I dislike Edward, because HELLO Edward is pretty freakin outstanding, but because Jacob Black is more my type :) But I'm not Team Wolf Pack. Does that make any since? I like the vampires better, but I love Jacob! Haha, anyways, my point is...I haven't read a decent Jacob/Bella fan fic. I would love some recommendations, please. Yes, yes, I know my blog is supposed to be recommending fan fiction for you, but hey...everyone needs a little help. If I like the story, I will most definitely publish a post about it...because I am craving me some Jacob Black!

If a genie were to come to me and grant me one single wish, I would wish that hwimsey would finish this entire story in a day so that I could know what happens! I just finished chapter 17 today which is the last chapter she's updated and I'm dying over here!!! This very well topped my favorites list. It is full of romance, humor and mystery. Hwimsey is freakin brilliant and no lie, she could write about the anatomy of worms or something and I'd definitely read it. This story is just, for lack of a better word, smart.

Edward has been tortured for as long as he can remember by a girl that he had never met, yet he longed for. His music is written about her, his life is for her. When he sees a girl sitting in a pub in London, he knows he's found her. The only problem is, she is a student in San Fransisco and he doesn't even know her name.

He talks his band mates, Jasper and Emmett, into going to San Francisco to find her. They think they are going to play their music. A one of a kind sound.

Bella had went to London to study abroad, when she first saw Edward playing in a pub. She followed him all over London, completely in love with the man behind the lyrics. Back home, her best friends, Alice and Rosalie drag her out to a bar to see a new band, The Lost Boys.

When Edward Cullen takes the stage, Bella is floored. She cannot even believe its actually him. Rosalie and Alice are more than taken back by Jasper and Emmett, too.

When Rosalie, Alice, and Bella move into the second floor of an old house, they are stunned when they find out who shares the bottom floor. The Lost Boys, of course. What happens when Bella and Edward run into each other? Does Edward ever tell Bella that she's the girl he's been looking for his entire life? Will Bella tell him that she practically stalked him in London? Also, there is some other mystery everyone in the house must figure out. A mystery that haunts the entire house.

I swung around to the direction of the bar where Emmett had been addressing, but I couldn’t see anyone. The whole audience was going crazy, shouting and clapping louder and louder.
The lights dimmed a little bit more and a man laconically climbed up the stage, his head slightly ducked, a small, almost embarrassed smile on his face, half apology, half mischief.
Everything disappeared at that moment, the crowded table, the smoke, the music, even my hyperventilating friends. And one thing remained. His face. His intense green eyes, buzzing and alive.
He sided up to the microphone as he slipped on his guitar and plugged it in. He spoke in a clipped accent. A voice I would remember anywhere.
“Hello, all. I’m Edward. Edward Cullen. Terribly sorry for being late.”

Jasper's pain is almost more than he can handle, and he refuses to let anyone else feel it. He devotes himself to looking out for Bella, but when Bella finds out he's been watching her sleep every night, how will she react?

How will her best friend Jacob react? Bella and Jasper had never been close, will she allow him access to her darkest thoughts?

Ok OCDindeed has the best imagination ever! No lie. This story is unlike any of the others I have read. Although I'm a little impatient with her updates, the wait is definitely worth it, and I am so excited to see what happens next.

Instead of writing my own description, I've decided to use hers on this one.

On March 16, 2006, the World changed, and everything and anything that the Cullens ever cared about was lost.
Edward should not be alive. He never wished to exist in a world where Bella didn't. Unfortunately, his family desperately needed him, and so he would help them. And by doing so, redeem himself for his failure to save the one creature he couldn't protect. This last act was his only chance for salvation, and he hoped on Judgement day he would be deemed worthy enough to be with her once again.

I wouldn't even begin to know where to start describing this story. It's just so damn good. I cannot wait until it's finished.

Those who survived called it World War III, but I doubt you could call it a world war. At least not like the wars our kind were used to witnessing. There was no strategy, no declaration of war and there were no troops because there were no battles. The biggest fear from the Cold War era had come true. It was just a push of a few buttons made by men who sat safely in their bunkers, making decisions that would affect mankind forever. They weren’t even sure who fired the first missile; China, North Korea, Iraq, Iran? It didn’t matter because the Western world fought back. As far as the free world was concerned, they had every right to defend their nations. No country was left untouched by these actions; everyone was affected, including our kind…Vampires.

This is such a good story. I absolutely adore it and I know my description won't do it justice, but please just read it! Sleepyvalentina is very intelligent and it comes out in this story.

Bella has a sexual past that she isn't proud of, but has never really committed herself to anyone. She was abandoned by her mother, and the only man she thought she loved, James. Now, she's an independent high school teacher. Her best friend Alice has turned into a bridezilla, so Bella goes to the Art Museum to unwind before meeting up with her friends.

There she meets the beautiful, charming, and beyond intelligent, Edward. There's only one problem, Edward is a student at the school Bella teaches at. Their age difference would be a problem.

What happens when Bella finds herself attracted to Edward? Will she allow herself to commit?

This story isn't finished yet, but it's long enough to keep you busy until she updates again! The whole gang is in this one, but I must warn you, there is a very sad part. Beware. Also, sleepyvalentina wrote this in EPOV, too. So read that afterwards!

I wasn't sure how long I had stood at my front door, staring off into space after Edward pulled away. Could it really be this easy? Certainly, the odds were stacked against us. But more and more I was starting to see them as nothing more than externals. When outside factors were removed and it was just us, it was easy to imagine, imagine we could have a future together.

This was a very interesting story for me. Jandco put a real life disorder, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, into a great story. If you don't know what that means (I had no clue) she has details about it in the Prologue.

After an accident, Bella develops IED, but she or her doctor boyfriend, Edward have no idea. She just suddenly begins having violent episodes, ones in which Edward gets pretty beat up. They both keep it a secret from all of their friends, until Bella attacks Emmett.

Edward does everything from breaking the law to causing other people to jeopardize their jobs to save Bella. When surgery is recommended, Bella insists that she go through with it. But will Edward let her?

This story is complete and the whole gang is involved except for Esme.

I bought her face to mine and kissed her lips, trying to shake the feeling that something wasn’t quite right.
“You alright?” I asked, using a thumb to wipe away a stray tear from her cheek.
“Yeah,” she nodded. “Do, uh, do you think that maybe…maybe we don’t have to mention it to anyone? I mean, I’m kind of embarrassed and ashamed of mys—“
“Of course,” I said, grinning at her in what I hoped was a reassuring way…though her request surprised me for several reasons.

Twilight Fan Fic-Rated M- Bella and Edward, Mixed POV, Vampire

If Wide Awake if my favorite Fan Fic, then this one is my second favorite. It's freakin ridiculously wonderful. I will admit, the first chapter almost made me stop reading it, because of the constant POV switches, but I kept reading. The POV switches work for this story and become less and less frequent.

All of the Cullens are vampires, and Alice's best friend, Bella, is a human. Bella is saved by the Cullens and learns their secret. While Jasper, Emmett and Carlisle are out hunting, they discover a dead body. But not dead in the sense you are thinking, dead as in immortal.

The starved and abused vampire is at first mute, frantic, nervous, and seemingly violent. He has a terrible past and doesn't even know that he's a vampire. He will only let one person near him, he will only open up to one person. The human friend that has been granted access into the world of immortals.

What happens when the Volturi learn of his existence? Who starved and beat him? Who is he and where did he come from?

This story is unfinished, but let me just say that michellephants is doing a wonderful job so far. I cannot wait to read the rest.

Part of me realized I should be afraid to approach him. He was terrified and he was lethal, and I assumed that that combination was the reason the others had forbid me to come to this house at all. But there he sat, pushed as far into the corner as he could manage, his back to me. His knees were pulled so tightly to his chest that I think he would actually be incapable of breathing even if he had to. My heart lurched.
I could see every curve of his ribs as they curled around his sides. I could make out every single distinct disc of his spine. It was obvious that he was starved. His frame trembled slightly at the sound of my footsteps, slowly descending down the staircase. I couldn’t make my feet stop if I wanted to, and I didn’t want to. I didn’t doubt that, as weak as this vampire was, he could snap me in half before I could blink.
